We develop products and services for companies that see the digital market as an opportunity. Changed buying behaviour, AI as a catalyst, efficient processes and legal conformity are in our specification from the outset, not added later. And of course it may look good, too.

German online goods revenue 2025: +3.2 %, forecast 2026: +3.8 %. 56 % runs through marketplaces; in B2B, digital sales are growing faster still.
Customers buy online — more of them, more often. In future, revenue and profit will be generated above all on digital marketplaces.

02 Zugangsweg
0 %
68 % of Google searches end without a click (2024: 60.5 %). 40.6 % of users in Germany begin their research in an AI chat; organic traffic per domain fell 22 % within twelve months.
Your digital presence has to convince at once — once search engines and AI have led the customer to you.

03 Haftung
0,00 Mrd. €
In March 2026 the total of published GDPR fines passed six billion euros for the first time — 2,245 proceedings, averaging €2.28 m each, €1.2 bn of it in 2025 alone. From September 2026, Cyber Resilience Act fines are added: up to €15 m or 2.5 % of annual turnover.
Audits now happen in routine operation, not only after an incident. Every company has to know and contain its risk — even without a compliance department.

AI in everyday life
04 Verbreitung
58 % of people aged 16 and over in Germany use AI, 34 % at least weekly, 15 % daily. Among companies in 2025 it was only one in four (26 %).
Your customers’ expectations are already shaped by AI. Fail to keep up and you are not compared — you are overlooked.
Bitkom, April 2026; Federal Statistical Office, Nov 2025
05 Unsichtbar
53 % of smartphone users do not know in detail where AI sits in their device. 64 % have used voice assistants, 56 % chatbots, 42 % automatic photo retouching, 37 % AI writing help.
AI is not a question for the future, it is infrastructure. The only question is whether it is named and controlled in your company.
Bitkom, February 2026
06 Arbeitsplatz
48 % of employed people use AI at work, 8 % of them daily. The benefits they name are above all relief from routine tasks and saved working time (47 % each).
Your staff already use AI. Without approval, rules and documentation, you carry the risk for it alone.
Bitkom Research, study report 2026
07 Effizienz
Field study with 5,179 case handlers: AI assistance raised issues resolved per hour by 14 % on average and by 34 % for less experienced staff. In Germany, only one mid-sized company in five so far uses AI in its processes.
Quotes, invoices and enquiries can be handled automatically today. That creates capacity without new hires — provided the process is built cleanly and documented verifiably.
Brynjolfsson / Li / Raymond, Quarterly Journal of Economics 140 (2), 2025; KfW Research, July 2026
08 Hürde
Companies not using AI cite a lack of knowledge (72 %), uncertainty about the legal consequences (62 %) and concerns about data protection and privacy (60 %).
The barrier is clarity, not software. Specification, testing and documentation exist for exactly that.
Federal Statistical Office, data as at 24 Nov 2025

Emblem
The cambium (our name) is the biological foundation of a tree — the precondition for healthy growth and stability. The emerald oak leaf (our emblem) shows veins made of ones and zeros: lasting presence, digitally conceived.
02 — Standard
We develop our products and services from an entrepreneur’s point of view — simple, effective and well made. Our customers are sole traders and small and medium-sized companies in German-speaking Europe who already operate in the digital market or are planning their move into it. Technical and legal barriers are often high and discouraging. Few have specialist departments for this, and outsourcing is seen as a cost risk. That is exactly where we position ourselves — with software paid for by use alone, an interface that explains itself, transparent costs and no jargon.
Acting successfully, safely and professionally in digital space. With solutions from Cambium. Built to the highest software standards. Simple enough to run yourself — in your own office and at your own pace , entirely independently of us.
03 — The firm
We do not sell other companies’ tools under our name. Design, test logic, interface, operation and support sit in one place.
01 / IN-HOUSE BUILD
Specification, code, testing and evidence trail to the highest programming standards. Building it ourselves is our core business.
02 / SOVEREIGNTY
Servers and databases in Germany. Security certified to ISO/IEC 27001 and attested under BSI C5.
03 / DISCLOSURE
Complete documentation and traceability are part of our development and production standards.
04 / COVER
Professional indemnity and cyber cover through Hiscox, as of 2026.
A statement that cannot withstand a question is of no use to anyone. Compliance by design as a first principle.

“Two generations, one engineering view: understand, build, try it — and only then talk about it.”
Cambium is a family business. Its founders hold engineering degrees and bring international professional experience — and both are rooted in the DE/FR/LU border region. Short paths, quick decisions, the same contact person five years from now.

Seven answers that hold up to a follow-up question. Anything not covered here, we are glad to answer in person.
Cambium Holding UG (limited liability) was founded in February 2026 as a family business by Marcus Alexander Kluge and Kilian Frederic Kluge and is entered in the commercial register of the Saarbrücken local court under HRB 112137 . Its origin lay in two things coinciding: the curiosity and drive of the younger founder to turn what he had learned at university into a business, and the senior founder’s wish to put many years of rich international experience to productive use on his own account — combined with what the digital world and artificial intelligence now make possible. The market niche was quickly found: intelligent answers to the demands of the digital market, for those who have so far not benefited from it. Since then the holding company has brought the development, operation and liability of our products together under one roof.
Cambium is a family business, led by Marcus Alexander Kluge and Kilian Frederic Kluge. Both hold engineering degrees and bring international professional experience; both are rooted in the Germany/France/Luxembourg border region. Two generations, one view of the matter: understand it, build it, try it — and only then talk about it. We work in German, English and French.
Cambium Holding UG (limited liability), based in Losheim am See in the Saarland, develops and operates its own digital products for businesses. They include cambium.compliance , software for testing and evidencing digital obligations, WiderrufButton , the withdrawal and cancellation buttons required by §§ 356a and 312k of the German Civil Code, delivered as a ready-to-run service, and NuxIQ , training for computer-adaptive aptitude tests in assessment centres. In development: MetrixMundi , official statistics from EU level down to the municipality, with a source on every figure. We are neither a consultancy nor an agency: design, test logic, interface, operation and support sit in one place.
That a company without its own legal or compliance department can act in the digital market as safely as a corporation with dedicated staff. Rules and market standards apply largely regardless of company size — the means to meet them are unevenly distributed. Our products are meant to close that gap: comprehensible, affordable and free of jargon.
Small and medium-sized companies in German-speaking Europe that sell or need to be visible in the digital market — online retailers, trades and service businesses, law firms and agencies supporting their own clients. Company size matters less than digital exposure: a two-person business with an online shop carries more obligations than many a mid-sized firm with a brochure site.
Four, and they apply to every product. In-house build — test catalogue, measurement paths and evidence trail are our own development, not a bought-in black box. Sovereignty — servers and databases in Germany, security certified to ISO/IEC 27001 and attested under BSI C5. Disclosure — specification, scope and limits are open to inspection. Cover — professional indemnity and cyber cover through Hiscox, as of 2026.
From an agency, the timing and the evidence: changed buying behaviour, visibility in AI-assisted research and legal conformity are in our specification from the outset, not added later. We publish our test catalogues, name the measurement path behind every finding and state explicitly what was not tested — instead of ticking a box. From a law firm, the task: our software tests what is technically determinable and documents it in dated, traceable form. It does not replace legal advice. Where a matter calls for legal judgement — particularly for liability-relevant legal texts — we expressly recommend additional review by a specialist law firm. We do not promise complete legal certainty; we state precisely how far our findings reach.
